Dumont Lake is a 215-acre all sports lake. Spring and stream fed, the waters are clean and refreshing. Swimming is usually comfy from June through mid-September. Skiing and boating season longer than that. Approximately half of our shoreline is natural and will stay that way. We enjoy the wildlife - turtles, fish, heron, swans, deer, geese, ducks, and a wide variety of birds. There is nothing to compare to life on the lake! Some days I pinch myself that I've had this wonderful getaway for ten years now. Such a blessing!

The lakefront yard is high and dry.

And then there's the lake, the paddleboat, the swim raft, the canoe .. so much fun!

Welcoming entryway!

Sleeping on the front porch is the best! Hear the frogs and crickets, watch the moon at night or lake by daytime.

Dining area

Do I want to eat or nap? Hmmm...

Living room

Love my knotty-pine living room and the gas-log fireplace. Can pull a chair up, prop my tootsies right next to the warm fire, and watch TV.

My kitchen is cozy

Love my kitchen with it's unique assortment of crockery, old signs, gadgets and widgets. The antique sink is original and works like a charm. The water from our new well is refreshing to drink and surprisingly has no aftertaste. The old stove bakes better than my newer one at home. Washing dishes is not a chore watching birds snack from the feeder right outside my kitchen window.

Back view

We can never decide if this is the front or back. We call it the "road side" as opposed to the front which is the "lake side". Love our handy workshop/tool shed. If I can't find my husband, he's usually tinkering with something among a plethora of tools, odds and ends, and floaters that need repairing.
